It’s 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, and quirky, plus-sized, teenage Tracy Turnblad has one dream: to dance on The Corny Collins Show. When she gets put in detention with the African-American students in the school, they teach her some of their dance moves, and her new found groove wins her a spot on Corny’s show. Overnight, Tracy transforms from a nobody into a star, and uses her newfound influence to advocate for racial integration on the television show.

    • Eric Shephard

You bet! See you at Waco HS about an hour before show time. (1:30 or after–curtain time is 2:30)

  • Ramona

Can you list the cast? We attended the Sunday matinee and didn’t get a program.

    • Eric Shephard

Ramona, we sent a reply, but your Baylor email address no longer seems to work!

I bought tickets on line for Thursday’s show where Do I pick them up

    • Eric Shephard

You can pick them up at Waco HS starting an hour before show time, or you can swing by the theatre between 2-5pm. Whichever is more convenient for you works for us!

Are kids allowed if a ticket is purchased for them and adult?

    • Eric Shephard

You bet. This show is probably better for kids closer to 10, but we’ve seen 5-6 year olds here.

Can we purchase tickets at the door on Saturday?

    • Eric Shephard

Absolutely! Try to arrive about 45 minutes before showtime to have a better choice of seats 🙂
